Job Description

A global aviation services company providing a range of ground-handling and support services in the Auckland Airport Precinct is seeking outgoing, charismatic, and well-presented individuals to join their Passenger Services team as Ambassadors, Front of House.

As an Ambassador you will facilitate a smooth airport experience for passengers and assisting in the efficient processing of passengers through the airport from arrival to departure.

You need to be flexible with working hours, have a hard work ethic and a passion for delivering a fantastic customer service experience. You will also need to be physically fit as you will often be on your feet for extended periods of time.

 

THE ROLE:

Passenger Services

• Assisting special needs passengers and groups throughout the airport

• Provide assistance at check in with queue management, excess luggage monitoring, and assist with removal of fragile items for collection.

• Assist at gates to ensure an efficient boarding process, pre-boarding passengers, and locating missing passengers etc

 

Safety, Security and Compliance

• Adhere to company policies and procedures

• Not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided by the company in the interests of health, safety or welfare reasons

• Report any hazards, near misses, incidents, accidents or dangerous occurrences to their manager / supervisor, who will then follow the procedures contained in this manual.

• Fully understand the company health and safety policy.

• Ensure security of passenger’s property

• Adhere to Airport rules and regulations.

Requirements

• Fluent in spoken and written English

• Flexible and available for shift work which includes early starts, late finishes, weekend, and public holiday work.

• Physically fit to lift up to 30Kgs and also able push the wheelchairs with passengers

• Ability to work independently.

• Ability to work on a team.

• Attention to detail.

• Knowledge of aircraft safety procedures. (Ideal)

• Must be able to demonstrate problem-solving abilities.

• Efficient, Reliable, and well presented.

• Must have full driving license and own transport

• Must pass pre-employment checks (Ministry of Justice, Drug, Medical and reference)
